Rural Roots:
My hometown [Elmira, Ontario] is a really small community of about 6,000 or 7,000 people. It's a huge farming community, and we have a lot of Mennonites and Amish people. The presence of horse-and-buggies and people dressed in black clothes is everywhere, everyday. We have hitching posts on our sidewalks and barns behind the stores so they can come in and shop. My grandparents were raised for part of their lives as Mennonites, and later they just got with the times and became more modern. For me, it's pretty normal, but when my friends come to town, they're shocked at some of the stuff they see.

Hot-blooded:
I had a little bit of a temper when I was a kid. I probably got it from my older brother; he had a worse temper than I did. He used to beat me up and made sure we won everything we played at. It's just a competitive thing. I like to compete every night and keep on the edge. That way, the other team doesn't know what's going to happen, and it keeps everybody on their toes.
